Nestled off the public wandering route is a beautiful set of falls called “Racehorse Falls” which is marked as a .6 mile long trail (there is a 2 mile trail further down the road looping up and around to Racehorse Falls with stunning views from the top of the falls and a slippery slope trail down to the base of the falls (steep, be careful). There is another unnamed falls along another trail leading here. Lightly trafficked out best between March and October. We did it in November and it was slippery with river levels high enough we had to trickily go wade across the river without going back the trek we came down from.
